Why Is Lighting Important?

 The standard three point lighting set up is essential for a photo-shoot it's a key lighting standard for a professional shoot that all studio  use for a set of series, movies and model's. Yes they may use more techniques than just the bog standard three point lighting set up but they all incorporate into their shoots. All the attributes that incorporate into the three point lighting set up makes a massive difference in your photo's. Now I'm not saying that to have a decent photo you must have this because you don't always have it in hand since this technique is normally only used in studios for professionals but I definitely say that when taking a photo you should consider lighting and what look you want to give of where it may have contrast on the face or you want no shadows.

As you can see this is my last two photos and they both use all three of the lights Key,Filler and Back but we decided to experiment and used colored sheet to cause atmosphere and greater the quality of the shoot.  Notice how he stands out more than in the other photos and how despite having a darker tone than in the other photos it has came out in better quality allowing you to see all the features. This is why lighting is so important guys! I hope this has helped you all understand it a bit better now... Sadly this is my last post on lighting but I promise to come out with more How To stuff I wouldn't want you guys missing out on more tips and tricks! Anyway that's it for today folks...
